[4.5] I went into this book not knowing what to expect but boy was I pleasantly surprised!
Angels Chasan and Nathaniel are twin flames, fated to be together, but Nathaniel has fought against this fate by avoiding Chasan for almost 1000 years...that is, until the two of them are assigned a mission on Earth to save a human child. As part of said mission, they must take up the roles of preschool teachers and husbands (forced proximity, one bed–sign me up!).
Sure the story was predictable at times and it took Nathaniel a now-or-never moment to finally get his head out of his butt, but the comedy was absolutely fantastic! I burst out laughing several times while listening to the audiobook. Nathaniel's dislike for certain human physiological sensations was a mood (anxiety attacks, nervous sweating, etc. LOL) and his obsession with baby goats was super adorable!
On a side note, I'd really like to be an angel as described in this book so I can speak/understand every language under the sun. Language learning is too tough and time-consuming lol
