This is probably a 4 to 5 star book for a lot of people, and I don't blame them.
I went into this book blind, as I always do, and expected a cute, funny, single dad, fluffy holiday romance.
That is not what this is.
This is a story that has ups and down. Talks about disease and death. And although heartwarming, personally, it just wasn't what I was looking for.
The Christmas you Found me by Sarah Morgenthaler
The ink isn't even dry on her divorce papers but her friend puts an ad in the newspaper to get Sienna a new husband. It was meant to be a joke but for Guy Maple, he is desperate enough to see if it is true. The stability would get his 4 year old daughter in stage 5 kidney failure on the transplant list.
Something in Sienna cracks wide open and they start a marriage of convenience to save a little girl who desperately needs a Christmas miracle.
The book made me cry so hard but don't worry, it has a HEA and you will feel every emotion working through you by the time you get to the end. I'm not gonna lie. A ton happens in the space of a few weeks. I love a good insta love story but this one was fast even for me.
You won't not fall in love with Guy. He literally would do anything for his daughter and he is so gentle and kind with Sienna that she doesn't know how to reconcile who her new husband is compared to the man she was married to before. Emma, his daughter will worm her way into your heart too.
This is the wholesome kind of love that every hopeless romantic dreams of and I couldn't get enough. The audio was phenomenal.
Definitely worth the read.

Narrator: the narrator was an excellent choice for this story. She brought out the emotion throughout the book and fit the main character. Story: I adored the characters throughout this book. They were funny, caring and enjoyable to read. Readers will see the relationship between the two main characters grow throughout the story. It was a well written story. I was drawn in fromThe beginning and could picture the ranch and what it would look like in the winter months. While the story is set around Christmas time, it isn't a big focus. Warning: do not read the ending in public unless you want people to see you as a crying mess. Check TW. This story does involve a child going through kidney failure and dialysis. There is mention of dementia. This was a wonderful read. Highly recommend. Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook.
