The “detective couple” is an art journalist and a cat that used to belong to an art critique.

I like the characters, I liked the plot. I didn't like the solution, because I liked the murderer. :-D I would have wanted to have them in future books.

This book was disapointing in many aspects, I was expecting a cozy mystery with a cat that helps the main character solve the case. And technically we got that, but this book was not cozy enough and the cat participation let a lot to be desired.
In this book there is no point of view of the cat, and since the main character has no experience in dealling with cats his responses to the cat actions were annoying, even though I have read books with characters that are interacting with cats for the first time and liked them, in this one I was left annoyed and disspaointed.

I will not continue with this series.

This is one of the 3 in “The Cat Who...” series that was written in the 60s, and also the first book I read by this author. I gave the book 3 stars because it was an enjoyable read with entertaining characters, but the mystery itself wasn't intriguing to me. Having only read the one book, I intend to read others in the series someday, but right now my favorite cozy-cat-mysteries are those by [a:Rita Mae Brown 23511 Rita Mae Brown http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1209493600p2/23511.jpg].

Listening to George Guidall bring Qwill to life is fantastic. I actually laugh out loud at Koko.
