I read this a couple of times in high school and really liked it. I still find this an enjoyable quick read and a solid 3 stars
Has elements of theater, warlock premise, and kinda a d&d vibe adventure going on. The only thing is I wanted it to elaborate a bit more, although i'm reading the 2nd book right now so we'll see how that continues on what was built here.
Interesting period piece that dwells in fantasy while staying realistic, even mentioning characters from the true past such as the German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer Kepler. It can get a little slow and boring, but leave many unsolved mysteries to keep the reader enticed.
