I'm so impressed by how N.R. Walker can virtually write anything under the sun and do it well.

This police procedural suspense novel focuses primarily on the case itself, with the romance not as overtly prominent but certainly serving as the perfect compliment on the side with its slow burn goodness.

The way Jake and August's relationship steadily grows into something more is so organic and beautiful, I loved it! Even if you're not really into mystery/crime books, I say give this one a go :)

3.5 stars. Started slowly but picked up speed and steam, and by the last 25% I couldn't put it down. Features two likable MCs and a slow burn romance that is appropriate to the plot. Nice going, N.R Walker, feel free to write more suspense novels any time you're in the mood!
