Take It as a Compliment

Wow, wow, wow. This one was powerful. I remember shopping when I was 12 and I was grabbed from behind by a male teenager. I remember just freezing, and how gross I felt after I broke away from him and rejoined my mom (who I never told, in case it was my fault). These stories are little punches to the gut. They are true and they are terrifying and I am so glad to have this book in my YA collection. I hope the right reader picks it up at the perfect time in his/her life either as a warning or to know they are not alone. And it's not their fault, either.

Hard to read but very powerful. The art was moving in its simplicity and limited color palette.

Very important book. Please read.
