Really interesting to hear about his life. The fact he grew up down the road from the Sheens was pretty cool. It did finish prior to 911 Lonestar so maybe he'll write another book from where this one finishes, lol. This was my first audiobook and I think hearing him reading it made it better. He has certainly lived a full life!
Fantastic book from a true star I came across on Parks and Recreation. Amazing quotes on personal growth and detailed anecdotes makes this a rich and full read.
I listened to the audio version that is read by the author and it was really good. Very interesting! He has, as the title indicates, many good stories and has seen so much. Definitely worth a read or a listen!
3.5 stars. Quite a bit less tell-all than I anticipated, but well written with a clear voice.
I enjoyed this DESPITE my long-standing rivalry with Rob Lowe. I'm especially glad my pal Sophie lent me the audiobook, since Rob does some really funny celebrity impressions.
This is well-written for a celeb memoir (which is a low bar), although it is very reliant on Paul Harvey-style reveals. Which, honestly, are kind of earned because so many of his life stories apparently have wild twist endings.

Fantastic in audiobook format. I really felt like he was telling me his story, and his impressions of celebrities are great.
I picked this up on a lark, just to have an audiobook in the car, and quickly became wrapped up in the story. Lowe grew up in an average, middle-class Ohio neighborhood so his early life and journey to Hollywood are engaging and relatable. I especially enjoyed his experience as a novice actor making The Outsiders. Halfway through the book, however, Lowe emerges from rehab and becomes far more conceited and less interesting.
I knew next to nothing about Rob Lowe, other than he was an actor and had a scandalous history. I downloaded this audiobook b/c it was free and I usually love autobiographies. This book was a good listen and I learned a lot about his life by listening. He seems like a decent guy who has learned a lot.
