Sofia Khan is Not Obliged

(Goodreads messed up the dates I was reading this, but whatever.) This book is delightful and so much fun to read. I loved Sofia and her family and friends were all such great, individual characters. The pacing seemed a little off, with a whole lot of plot crammed into the last 20% or so of the book, but that's my only real complaint. I really enjoyed reading this and learning about a world I'm not familiar with. This would be a great movie.

LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I'd been way too judgmental upon starting the book but as it progressed, couldn't help loving the book!

This was moderately interesting and entertaining Brit Chick Lit because of the rare Muslim heroine. However, the book was way too long for the plot, and there was a lot of repetition that could have been avoided if someone had edited 100 pages or so. Did not engage me enough to seek out the upcoming sequel.
