Let me just say this: I read this series when I was about 18 years old and going through an “Anne Rice stage” that all teenage girls seemed to go through in the 90s. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into...
Well, it's definitely an interesting series. I remember being equally horrified and intrigued by it. While I wasn't offended by the content of the books, I was definitely disappointed with the writing and storyline - it's disjointed and, honestly, very sloppy.
The series is obviously not for the easily offended or uptight. And, even though I haven't read it in over XX years, I don't really see any reason to revisit it. But, if you like Anne Rice's style and want to just read a book full of “shock value,” well then...enjoy.
Ok, my thoughts...I, um...what the hell was this?!?! I hated the whole thing BUT it is well written. I would not call this book erotica but it is filled with sex just not the kind that gets you carpal tunnel. I felt sorry for everyone's asses through out the entire book because it was full out spankathon.
Esto esta casi a la altura de 120 dias en sodoma del Marques de Sade, fue horrendo. Pense que con claiming se referian a otra cosa pero no literalmente que la iban a violar, ni siquiera se puedo considerar como erotico.
NVM im not about to read 200+ pages of non-consensual bdsm, i feel bad for her & i hate anne rice

Can I just love every book I read? I have never regretted sticking with a book until the end. That is, of course, a general statement as there was no coaxing I had to do to myself to keep me wanting to read these novels.
This is in violation of everything.
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty. I'll say. More like the Rape and Abuse of Sleeping Beauty. And Prince Charming? THIS IS NO PRINCE CHARMING.
And FAR from a fairytale. Poor, poor Sleeping Beauty. She should never have had to wake up.
