The thing about SAYE that sets it apart from other novels in my eyes is how much it makes me want to fall in love. To be able to experience even half of what Jiang Cheng and Gu Fei have with each other would be a blessing....

Such a captivatingly beautiful and soul-healing story of two boys finding solace and hope in each other. Wuzhe is the master of writing snarky, clever banter and evoking emotions in me in ways that usually wind up with me crying a river on the cold tile floor of my bathroom LOL. I can never get enough of her writing style—the smooth flow of her words keep me hooked and hungry for more.

As Wuzhe wrote in the author's notes after the extras, “没有谁的生活会一直完美，但无论什么时候，都要看着前方，满怀希望就会所向披靡。” (“No one's life is invariably perfect, but no matter what, you must always look ahead; with a heart filled with hope, you're invincible.”). It's a much-needed reminder to keep your head up and believe in a better future, regardless of your current circumstances.

I will undoubtedly be rereading the novel and relistening to the audio drama for years and years to come.
