I felt this was so dry for me. Rosie's sister, Bree, didn't care for her. Rosie, her character doesn't match well with her (girl, for fucks sake, you got bullied and put into the trunk of a car, but you are inside a tank for 3 hours, you come out completely fine).
Rosie and her sister Bree go to the spa for a day to celebrate Bree's promotion. Rosie gets stuck in a sensory deprevation chamber that hasn't been set up properly and begins to panic. Leo is part of the fire crew called to rescue her and he sits with Rosie chatting to her to keep her calm as they work to figure out how to free her. It's a sweet story and it's Sally Thorne - there's more feels in 40 pages than some 300 page books.
This was a good addition to the Meet Cute series. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at the start - I find Sally Thorne can sometimes make her main characters sort of – pathetic – too much poor me, and just poor, and too many disasters in their life. However even though this main character has issues, she was well rounded, with great conversation with the MMC.
I felt even with the short length, that I got a full story and lots of fun flirty banter.
I actually thought this as so cute! If you like “Love is Blind” you should like this haha!
Being locked up in a sensory deprivation tank on Valentine's Day? A nightmare, especially for Rosie. But Leo was the most calming firefighter, and their flirting and banter were top-notch! Leo's last name was a bit on the nose though, but I'm not holding it against him.
