Entertaining & Interesting
(No, really, I hate having to make headlines for these.)
Apparently, this is the second issue of Reggie & Me; what I thought was book 2 is actually book 4 and I've therefore read these out of order. Thankfully, however, they stand alone well and I didn't feel like I'd missed anything or that knowing the future ruined my enjoyment of this issue.
Reggie, of course, is a bit of a creep... but he is also nuanced and I like that we see glimpses of that through his dog, Vader. We also get to see why he hates Archie and Betty so much, which was a story that left me feeling a lot of sympathy for young Reggie.
Overall, this felt like a quicker read than some of the other modern Archie comics- including issues in this particular series- but it still managed to entertain me nonetheless.
