This graphic novel gives me all the Fall feels! I love it!
In this book, Josiah and Deja are spending their last night working in the pumpkin patch before they head off to college the following year. Deja ropes Josiah into a mission to talk to his crush, the Fudge Shoppe girl. While on their mission, they experience all the joys and mishaps of the pumpkin patch and remember all the great times they have had working together.
The characters are sweet and charming. The setting is perfect for a Fall book. The graphics make the reader wish she were in that pumpkin patch along side the characters. What more can you ask for in a Fall graphic novel?
My only complaint is that it is too short. I want to live in this world a little longer.
I absolutely loved this graphic novel!! Also can someone make this a real place!!!

This was such a cute read! I loved following the characters through the pumpkin patch on their last night. They were so adorable and while I knew how it would end, it was adorable!
★★★★
Short and sweet
Who doesn't love a Rainbow Rowell love story? Having a romp through a pumpkin patch also doesn't hurt. Very cute!
General statement for all my reviews on books by Rainbow Rowell:For reasons regarding what Rainbow Rowell has written in the past, and her continued defiance to listen to those hurt by this, I no longer read her books, or support and promote her in any way. I am sorry for supporting her, but I won't hide my mistakes as that would be wrong, instead please be aware my thoughts and feelings towards her have changed due to her behaviour and my opinions on her are now different* - July 2020This book didn't have a review on Goodreads, the only time I've spoken about this book after finishing it is in a wrap-up post on my blog. All I have done on Goodreads is clear my rating which was three stars.
Cute, lovely and absolutely to be read when it's autumn and you may have all the pumpkin you may desire, because I read it in January and now I'm craving for everything described in the graphic novel =P
Last night I accidentally left my purse at a friend's house after we left her birthday party, and I didn't notice until I got back home. Not only did I not have my phone or my wallet, but I also didn't have my audiobook (which was on my phone) or the paperback I've been carrying around. I was, quite frankly, not sure what to do — because I tend to get overwhelmed if I have too many books going at a time.
I had gotten this adorable graphic novel for myself for Christmas (it's a long story), and since I can generally breeze through comics in one sitting, it was the perfect opportunity! It's not a very deep story — BFFs seize the day on their last day working in the pumpkin patch before heading off to college — but it was cute and the artwork was great, and I liked both Deja and Josiah, so they were fun to hang out with for a little while. There's not much else to it. I do wish it hadn't turned into a romance right at the very end, but no one asked me.
Don't worry, my purse has been safely returned.
Okay, I'm sure you've seen a ton of positive reviews on this one, so I'll keep this one short and sweet.
The artwork? Fantabulous and wonderful. I loved just looking at the frames and would even flip back to other pages.
The story??? Sweet as apple pie! I giggled, laughed, and smiled my way through this one.
Characters? Amazing and cuddle-worthy. I just want to keep them safe.
This one might become a yearly read– a great fall read that isn't scary. The romance is adorable and so is the friendship. I recommend this to anyone wanting to read something sweet.
I just have to mention how significant the name Deja is. If you've read it you'll understand
Charming art style and chill fun fall story. 2 Friends work at a pumpkin patch since high school - graduating soon friends hang out and have a blast and blow off their last day of work to get her friend to talk with his crush.
This book also had hilarious visuals!
This book is a cozy cuppa pumpkin spice latte topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkles
This was a very cute graphic novel. I did not like that I was able to predict the ending. The illustrations were amazing and I wish I could get some ordered as prints.
This was the cutest! The setting was a delight. It made me nostalgic for a job I never had. Also, now I really want to try succotash.Pumpkinheads follows Josiah (Josie) and Deja, two seniors in high school facing the vast unfamiliarity of adulthood. It's their last night at the pumpkin patch they've worked at seasonally throughout high school. They gallivant around, Deja collecting snacks and Josiah courage to finally talk to his crush, a girl who works at the fudge shop.It hardly reinvents the wheel, but it's an autumnal, fun coming-of-age. Also, I like when the characters' hair pops outside the panels. As with anything by Rainbow Rowell, this was full of heart and feels. Everything felt nostalgic and wonderful. I love everything fall so this was right up my alley. I could almost imagine I was right there with them. As much character as Deja and Josie had together I felt the biggest character was the pumpkin patch–it stole the show! I loved every page of it. Faith is a great artist that perfectly matched with Rowell's style. A match made in heaven.
This is autumn in a book. LOVED IT! I actually laughed out loud at some of the dialog. I may reread every October.
Super adorable fall goodness that's sweet and funny and with super charming color illustrations by FEH, featuring a bi main character. Kids will love this.
