I really liked the atmosphere and the great suspense. I did not mind some mild repetition. It was another great page turner and kept me guessing until the end.
This one managed to completely surprise me! I fell for the red herrings and did not expect that ending.
Wonderful Plot Twists
Wow!! What a great story, I was shocked up until the very end. Freida McFadden is a genius!
Tricia and Ethan are newly married and have decided to go and see the estate of former author and psychiatrist Adrienne Hale. Upon their arrival a terrible blizzard strands them in the home where Tricia believes someone is squatting in. When Tricia finds a hidden door behind a bookcase filled with Dr. Hale's recordings of patient sessions she can't help but listen to the tapes. It turns out she has stumbled upon Dr. Hale's final days via these tapes!
I highly recommend this book, the plot twists alone are worth it. The characters are so well written and the setting is amazing.

The amount of theories I had going on and not one of them was that...well up until I got more evidence. It was a bit creepy, especially being here by myself and hearing things I shouldn't. 2nd book my Freida and I def am going to have to read more by her!
Thoroughly enjoyed it as an audiobook! Kept me guessing throughout and maintained a decent pace. The narrator did a great job differentiating the characters. I probably would've liked it less if I was reading a physical copy of the book. There were some unrealistic parts throughout the plot but not as egregious as other books
I never react audibly to books. I will smile if something I read is funny, and I will cry if it's sad, but I don't laugh out loud or sob. This book made me gasp out loud when I got to the twist. I was genuinely shocked, enough to elicit an audible reaction out of me. Like I said in my last review, I'm having the time of my life binge reading Freida Mcfadden's books!
Spannend boek!
It was good. It was enjoyable. It wasn't spectacular but it was okay.
I didn't see the first twist coming i'm not gonna lie so that was really cool.
I suspected Ethan was shady all along so I knew something was going on with him.
Another almost 4 stars (I'm stingy), even because I was completely fooled by the author's red herring. Way to go! This is what thrillers should be like.
Not even the pretty little liars corny quote made this bad for me.
I love to be surprised and I sure was in this one. I enjoyed it immensely!
The wayyyyyy I swore I knew what was going to happen then I got slapped with fkn reality !!! Such a great fast paced book desperately need to pick up another Freida McFadden book !!!!!!!
5 Stars.
I did not see that ending coming. The twist got me good. Dr. Adrienne Hale's perspectives we're really interesting.
It reminded me a little of Verity, but was very much its own. Never Lie spooked me at some points and had me at the edge of my seat with suspense. I loved it.
The twists were amazing and I loved the juxtaposition of both Adrienne's and Tricia's POV and the tape recordings. I liked of everything tied together.
