Can I consider this research for my own superhero story I'm working on? No? What do you mean it doesn't work that way?
So, I liked it. These guys are definitely not the usual squeaky-clean thou-shalt-not-kill superheroes that I'm used to, but they're likable nonetheless. In fact, if I can use a Marvel comparison on a DC comic, Midnighter reminded me a little of a less crazy Deadpool. And the plot was kind of nice because it was both self-contained and not the usual ‘superhero has to save the world now' that I mostly come across.
im an idiot and read this one before even the midnighter solo series so i def missed a lot of context <3 but it got me super interested in going back for the rest and ofc gay world's finest is the best ever
ALSO there are a few layouts that made me stare so long at the page i <3 creative panel layouts
