It's moving too fast. I barely get used to them interacting and she already thinks about his underwear and he glances at her body multiple times. Not taking in consideration that 2 weeks prior his 5 year old died and 2 days prior her grandma died. Come one, I would grieve more for a dog than these to had for their loved ones.
Words cannot describe how this book made me feel. I cried and laughed this is definitely a new favorite book.
My warped brain read this as a Daryl Dixon walking dead fanfic, and it felt like coming home
Last Light was a short read that did keep me entertained but I do think if the book were any longer I would've DNF'ed it, I found the characters flat with not much personality and the story kind of lacklustre.
Who would have thought dystopian romance would be my jam?
I really liked this book. I finished it in two days. I was interested from the first page. The story of Layne and Travis was well developed. I was worried when I first read the premise that the relationship between them would be antiquated. But the author clearly gave each character their own strengths. The story without the romance would have been enough for me but the romance was the cherry on top.
I will be looking for more books by this author.
