SO SO SO GOOD!. Love the characters in this series and love the timeline it is in. So many creepy elements but loved the build up. I really don't know why this is considered young adult but this is definitely good.

An oddly slow read. The setting feels distracting - more like “I'll just constantly mention the slang and clothes and such” than it being subtle and established somehow? Bugged me about the first book, too. I kept wanting to give up and dnf both.

While this is probably not the best read in the current climate (it involves hysteria over a mysterious illness) I still enjoyed it immensely. The narrator of the audiobook (January LaVoy) is honestly one of the best I've ever heard. Onto Number 3!

Ooh this was good. I loved that Ling was a fully formed character in this one. She's the best! I'm excited all the characters are starting to talk to each other and form a Diviner Dream Team. ♥️
