The writing is juvenile, character's personalities are either inconsistent or bland, and there's no chemistry. Really easy read but it sure isn't steamy.
I'm not a big fan of smut, but this book had a good love story and a good plot. 10 times better than The Striker

The book was good, but I thought Vivian was such a pushover. Her family annoyed me especially after her father disowned her and then her sister called telling her that โheโs still our fatherโ. I wish Vivian wouldโve told her to shut the hell up and stay out of it. I feel like she took way too long to put her foot down and stand up for herself. Besides her family, more specifically her parents I enjoyed everything elseโฆ
I see the hype with Dante Russo. I will never question Booktok again (this is a lie, if I didn't question everything that came out of Booktok I wouldn't be me). Thank god for audiobooks because now I live for Danteโs accent. And the pet name, I think I got a new favorite one! And I know you did not ask BUT that one scene when Dante goes home early because Christian did something to get Vivian and Heath (her ex) in the same room got me excited, like yes sir, go home and protect your woman! I loved the mentions of Christian, Stella, Queen Bridget, and her prince Rhys though they were unexpected for me. I canโt wait to read the rest of this series after I finish the Twisted series of course.

Loved the Idea but parts of the book felt rushed, whereas other parts felt as if they happened to slow. other than that loved the book.
Slight enemies to lovers but more the main love interest being enemies with the FMC's family rather than them hating each other except for the first few chapters.

So, this book was definitly and adventure, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did!
I've been struggling so much with reading and the beginning of this book was not helping but I pushed through it but it started getting so good and I couldn't put it down
โLove wasn't always about the big moments. More often, it was tucked in the small moments connecting the major ones.โ
This book is one of those books that you pick up and you instantly just become addicted to it. I didn't want to put it down. At all. I found myself wanting to skip sleep just so I could keep reading and find out what was going to happen next.
I am so happy to report that this book got me out of a reading slump and it's reminded me why I love reading to begin with. An escape. You want to pick up a book that is part of a world that you could never see yourself being a part of in real life. King of Wrath delivered.
I LOVED how independent and strong Vivian is and how unafraid she is to speak up for what she believes in. I also love how petty she was at the beginning of the arrangement when she would purposely do little things to mess with the house just because she knew it would annoy Dante. I genuinely laughed on multiple occasions.
Pressure and expectations especially when it comes from family is a never ending energy destroyer and I loved reading Vivian learn to appreciate her own worth that wasn't connected to anyone else's.
I am so glad I finally decided to pick up this book and I can't wait to get started on the rest of the series!
I jumped into this book not realizing who the author was and part way through I thought to myself that I think I already read this because it's exactly like the Twisted series books and then Iย realized yes it is in fact the same author so that makes sense. I'm pretty sure it was the exact same book but different character names. This book is a bit on the boring side. There is nothing original or unique about King of wrath. Neither of these main characters had any personality. Meh.ย
I enjoyed the plot and the character development of both Vivian and Dante. Their relationship also evolved into something beautiful. But I did find the book lacked something... More emotion or a different pace, not sure.
Ana Huang does not miss. This was such a sophisticated and sexy love story.

Dante's possessiveness and protection for Vivian was SO GOOD.
I'm proud of Vivian's growth, and standing up for herself.

So I DNFd the last of the Twisted Lies series but decided to give this one a chance after an author interview. This book reminded me so much of the first one in the twisted series so I REALLY enjoyed it. Highlights that tipped it to 5 stars include:
-The family dynamics from both the hero and heroine. Absolutely engaging and well written
-Making the hero actually appropriately sorry and show he's sorry for his bad actions.
-Vivian. Absolutely amazing main character.
Really enjoyed this one!! Looking forward to Kai and Isbella's story.
