Didn't meet my expectations. Maybe due to it being second chance and it being his wife in the first place.
I do not know why but this book did not hit as hard as the others.
I think the groveling from Dom wasn't as impactful and it felt like it was mainly very bad communication which made me almost frustrated.
I did like the little sentimental pieces of the mug for example on the anniversary but the situation overall of the book fell flat.
Rating it lower based on this.
I really enjoy Ana's books, however my anticipation for King of Greed was so built up that I may have expected too much and set myself up for disappointment. It also could have been the reviews I watched and read before reading it. Many of the reviewers I usually follow gave this one 5 stars and touted it had a lot of groveling, but I just didn't see it. Dom didn't do enough. I did like this book, but it didn't deliver anything extra special and while I liked Alessandra's character, I didn't see anything special about Dominic. To me, Ale deserved so much more. I even found myself wishing she would get the devotion she deserved from her new landlord.
I just love that this book is about giving a marriage second chance. I love all the efforts Dominic made to keep her. The smut may not have been much but I love the overall story line.

Quotes of the book: “Younger me had thought love was enough to solve any problem, but growing up meant recognizing the importance of loving yourself as much as you did someone else.”
Heartbreaking and wonderful. Surprisingly emotional reading this, but it was a great read.
Alessandra lost herself during her marriage to Dominic. He focused on work, and she “always understood” when he missed dinner and date nights. It got to be too much and she finally cracked after he forgot their ten year wedding anniversary. She deserves better.
Love her standing up for herself, but it was heart breaking seeing Dom come to the realization of what he lost and seeing how bad he let things get.
Ok, I'm rating a bit high maybe. It's not a great book. It's not a terrible book either. There was certainly not enough grovelling or change in Dominic.
A ver....admito que el final lo he leído súper rápido para terminar con el libro por que se me ha hecho súper pesado
