Around the World and Behind the Scenes with Anthony Bourdain

Average rating3.5
The memoir of a close work friend of Tony Bourdain sheds light on a lot of the madness that lay behind the scenes of the best travel food shows ever made. A solid 5 from me, for highlighting the good and the bad, some of the most iconic and some of the most terrible scenes.
3.5 stars. A lot of the chapters seemed a bit repetitive, like binge watching the shows of Anthony Bourdain can be.
But, the heart of it, of a man trying to tell his story, while surrounded with memories of and the overpowering nature of Tony.
It made me cry.
This was great. Less trite than it could have been and much more honest. I got a better picture into Anthony bourdain's personality. However, it did feel primarily like a processing device for the author.
