This book got me to crack up...maybe has some dark undertones.. maybe sometime the look in the character's eyes and the silent page..sometimes i think maybe it's something sinister is going on in this book and it keeps me thinking about it still today

Stupendous, hilarious, and an unexpected dark twist at the end. Parents and children alike will have a grand time reading this.

Very fun to read. My audience enjoyed it so much they wanted an instant replay, and then went to bed repeating the lines and chuckling to themselves. I think this would be fun for older toddlers/pre-schoolers.

It's so deadpan, it is funny. And something about the illustration just brings out the deadpan dialogue so well. Must be the eyes.

An adorable and beautifully illustrated children book. Requires fun voices when reading aloud.

There should be more books like this one. I don't remember much at all of the fluffy sweetness-and-light junk I read as a child, but the dark, and the darkly funny, has stayed with me for years.

This is such a great book. Hilariously dark, but in a way I'm sure kids won't get until they're much older.

An intriguing and delightfully rich tale told with exceptionally descriptive illustrations and a bare amount of words.
