I watched an ASL story time video

This was cute until it got all heteronormative with the monster that wasn't scary because it wore nail polish and “boy monsters are for boys and girl monsters are for girls” eye roll.

I loved this book and fell in love with the little boy. At first I worried reading it to my little girls right before bed time thinking it would scare them about monsters under their bed but they ended up WANTING a monster in their room too!
