Set at a birthday party, the disgruntled first-person narration portrays the confusing, often contradictory feelings that can sometimes make it impossible to be nice- particularly when what you might need most is for someone to be nice to you.

The art in this book is charming and reminds me of a little of[b:Whatever Happened To My Sister? 25330147 Whatever Happened To My Sister? I think I was like this as a kid and I think you see kids act like this often to make a connection with a reader out there. I was kinda meh through the book, but still a nice read.
