Cassie Howell, high school and recovering compulsive liar is enjoying a peaceful Florida summer, free of any vampire troubles. Which is good, because anytime Cassie seems to encounter vampires, it's really hard to get out of the situation without backsliding on that whole lying thing.Until, suddenly, she's not enjoying the peace anymore. Because when vampires attack her in broad daylight, Cassie starts to realize that the "interesting" phase of her life might not have ended with quitting lying. And there may be an even bigger liar trying to kill her...and her friends.
