Cassie Howell, teenage girl, high school student, and recovering compulsive liar, has had a rough few months: her former best friend Jacquelyn died, then rose again as a vampire dedicated to unleashing vengeance on her, burned down her house, and finally, her mother went to jail. Also, she broke up with her vampire boyfriend, Mill. That one might have stung the most. But there's not time to mourn for what she's lost, because Jacquelyn isn't done with Cassie yet. She's back with a new plan to turn vampires into her servants, and build an army to enact her goals - and there's only one thing on her To Do list: Kill Cassie - but only after first destroying her life.
