This was a really smart book! I have no idea if it is a mystery or thriller or whatever, but I greatly enjoyed it and thought that the themes were relevant and interesting. Brava!

this was very entertaining, but it felt a bit underwhelming in the end. i was fully expecting it not to turn supernatural, and the deaths to be easily explained (which they were) and the youtuber to have been lying, but then it happened and it felt rushed. i guess the ending was the only thing that i didn't like as much, which is unfortunate since i really liked the rest of the book.
i couldn't put it down, i kept reading it any time i could, and i enjoyed having the chapters alternating between the flight passengers and cherry. although i would've liked to see some of the stories a bit more fleshed out towards the end (mostly allegra's)
Real rating: 4.9/5 lol
Beautiful. Tragic. This book makes you face your mortality and will have you questioning how you are spending your time here on Earth. Are you living your life to the fullest? What would you do if you knew your cause and age of death? How would you use the time you have left? Who would you spend it with? This book eloquently handles those themes through engaging, layered storytelling with grounded, well-crafted, and interesting characters.
Audio Notes: Fantastic performance from both narrators here, masterclass. 10/10
Moriarty does it again. Poignant yet entertaining, a great read that gives you all the feels and makes you think about it all and question everything! Loved every moment!
Very different, certainly makes you think about death and trying to live life to the fullest.
After having saved it for a very long time, I've finally reached the end of this one. Cried rivers. Not a spoiler, it's not because it was a particularly sad ending (there were sad parts, obviously, but that's life). It's just that it was moving, and delicate, and somehow more sentimental, I think, than the other ones. It was the first time that I've read one of her books and wouldn't know it was hers without the cover - and it was not bad. Maybe she's grown into other things, maybe I have. I just know it was a beautiful journey. Thanks again, Mrs Moriarty!
I was too busy trying to figure out the gimmick to care about any of the characters. I'm sure it will make a lovely TV series.
Thank you Netgalley and Crown Publishing for providing me this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
SPOILER FREE:
The premise of this book really caught my attention because who DOESN'T wonder about fate, destiny, etc. vs free will? Are some things just MEANT to happen or do we choose our paths that let them? Can some people REALLY see the futures of another? And is there a way to avoid it from happening? From the first chapter, Liane hooks the reader by creating a captivating premise and characters that have their own journeys throughout the novel but intertwine. I love the main narrator of the novel (if u can say that) and the insight she provides to where we are in the beginning. The character's POV are each unique but universal and make you want to read on. Relating to issues like mental health awareness and pre-destined fates make them relatable and enjoyable to read.
I would say that a character could have been cut or it could have been a bit shorter and would still have had a full story and gotten its points across, but overall it was enjoyable from start to finish and I am so excited for others to read it!! #lianemoriarty #netgalley #hereonemomentbook
I respect Moriarty's endless empathy for her characters, and her ability to add texture and life through small details. This book felt a little forced - more like a collection of character sketches assembled into a novel.
I'm sobbing. This book was so beautiful and inspiring. I especially related to the young mother's POV and her story. For as long as this book is, it kept me hooked and wanting to just be constantly reading it. It also has short chapters which I love. I think the epilogue was one of my favorite parts. But overall, I just loved so many of the characters and felt so attached to them by the end, I didn't want it to be over.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
