Heartstopper: Volume One

nick and charlie have my whole heart. they are the most precious living things, and i promise to protect them for eternity.

This is soooo adorable! I really had an enjoyable time with this story. The art is very charming and the colors are nice. I can understand why this story is so popular!

The story is about a developing crush and friendship! This happens in story over a good amount of time and is quite fluffy/light/cute read.

It's been a hot minute since I've read a graphic novel but reading this book just filled my heart with happiness. I loved Nick and Charlie's friendship and how it progresses. I love how in so few words and graphics so many emotions can be conveyed. Simply beautiful. Cannot wait to do the other in the series.

1-1 his new crush looks surprisingly similar to this current boyfriend huhuhu. He has a type ^^

1-3 omg this actual boyfriend is a bully. Calling him ““useless”” because he hasn't answered a text message. That's some verbal abuse. I am glad he won't stay long with this one!

1-5 omg Ben is scary! I'm so glad Nick diverted everyone's attention and that it didn't go further!! Also, it was so cute when Nick was fixated on Charlie running huhuhu

1-6 Nick is trying to find an excuse to spend more time with Charlie huhuhu. Also, drummers are cool

1-8 omg this is too cuuuuute

1-12 Omg I so scared when he went to meet with Ben again! This guy is such a jerk omg I want to punch him. Nick is the best, and now he has the face of Charlie stuck in his mind huhuhu He likes him, he likes him!!

It's a really cute story of two teenagers who just fall in love. The art is great and you just zoom through it. I think I read this in an hour. It was sometimes hard to tell who was who, luckily it does say the name of the character with some context sometimes. 

I enjoyed Heartstopper Volume 1 as it is a quick and easy ready. Alice Oseman does a great job on the subject of bullying as it isn't over exaggerated. For example: the part where Charlie is being bullied by the rugby boys for being gay happens often in real life .

Obsessed and in love

The most adorable depiction of a gay high school romance I've ever seen. This is perfection and I love both Charlie and Nick. The art style goes perfectly with the storyline.

It was better than a three, but not quite a four so I rounded up.

I really liked the story but the artwork was not my cup of tea. I thought there were some nice show-don't-tell moments but I still would've liked the story to be a little more fleshed out. I understand that it's only volume one and I did enjoy it, so I will get around to reading the other volumes and I will give the show a watch.

I was curious with the netflix adaptation and decided to read the series.

This is a cute story about two boys that fall in love. The story feels real, and I am glad of its success as it normalizes and validates the feelings and experiences of many teens.

I absolutely recommend it for young readers and anyone in need of a comfort read.

Ok, admito que leí este libro por todo el hit que estaba causando y Clau nunca me decepciona con sus recomendaciones, además de que ya quería leer un romance bonito wholesome sin drama pero que me derritiera el corazón. Además, últimamente me ha constado ponerme a leer, así que Heartstopper vino como mi caballero con libro en mano sobre un corcel para salvarme del aterrador bloqueo lector, wuajaja. ¿Qué puedo decir?
