Healing from Hidden Abuse

This was the best book I have read about psychological abuse. The terms “dysfunctional family” and the “mother wound” are much too light for what I endured throughout my life at the hands of my mother. The abuse was real, so I will start labeling it as such. Thankfully, the healing is also real. I am incredibly grateful for people like Shannon who share their knowledge and experience in such helpful and compassionate ways. I am so proud of all of us who are working through the stages of recovery from abuse.
