Absolutely hate Joanne but HP is so good. How does one solve a difficult situation such as this?

While this isn't my favorite book from the Harry Potter series, it did have a unique twist that I enjoyed. My favorite scene was 100% the one with the teachers all ganging up on one in particular... It's very rare to see McGonagall and Snape back each other up against a common enemy

Darle 3 estrellas a un Harry Potter tiene que ser algún tipo de pecado.
Pero aunque el libro es interesante, parece un eco del anterior.
La estructura es prácticamente igual, especialmente el enfrentamiento final, es exactamente igual, me gusta que todo encaje al final y por eso acaba con 3 estrellas pero bastante decepcionante.

Si no hubiera leído que el siguiente es mucho mejor dejaría la saga aquí mismo.

This second instalment of the Harry Potter series is so funny. The chapters involving Dobby were so hilarious that I was grinning and laughing like an idiot while reading those. Mrs. Weasley is also unintentionally a hoot in this book. Also we learn a little bit more about Voldemort's younger days. As always, Dumbledore sprinkles around his wisdom - so many quotable quotes. It is a wonder how the small details all add up in the later books. J K Rowling is a genius. 

I always say, book is better than movie, but this time both of them I genuinely like them. Book, isn't boring as the first, which actually surprised me and it didn't frustrated me, so I give it 3 stars and maybe 3.5 stars. Movie, I liked it too, even when it's supposed for kids, I'm a teenage, and I absolutely loved it.

At times I liked this one more than the first but also the other way around.
Overall it was a good follow up to the series that continues to set the foundation for the story. 

However, I couldn't help but feeling like it was the same book as the first one, a build up ending with another Voldemort and Harry fight, and it loses some points because of that. 
The plot twist at the end was super entertaining.

I am finding so much joy rereading these books. The last time I read one was two years ago, and I have completely forgotten how dynamic of a storyteller Rowling is hate her genuinely so much but it's so crazy how good these books are sometimes.

Better than the first in my opinion. The wizarding world will always give me chills. The mystery aspect was perfectly made and I was able to find pieces out as I read. I would recommend to anyone.

I'm kinda getting tired of hearing about Dumbeldore being the best, when he hasn't done a single thing so far. His Phoenix (my favorite mythological creature) has already done more than he has. At first I did think that Slytherin's heir might be Voldemort, but in the back of my mind I was also thinking, “I get a feeling it might be Percy... But maybe that's too boring so maybe there'll be a twist and Ginny might be the one.” After chapter 15 I was convinced it was Percy so I was genuinely surprised to know that it was actually Tom Riddle, and the fact that he was Voldemort's 16 year old self.Overall I liked the book a lot. I do think the second half was way better than the first half, as things started moving faster. I don't think it was as good as the first book but it's still a solid 4.5/5 for me.

The sequel matches the original with ease. Just getting to read more about life as a wizard, classes at Hogwarts, and the friendship between Harry, Ron, and Hermione would have been great. But introducing Dobby? Top tier.

Other than the potential for a few tears from younger readers on their 11th birthday, no concerns here.

Quando eu leio essa série, eu frequentemente não presto tanto atenção porque eu conheço a história e as personagens há anos. Mas agora, tentando ler em português, é como eu estou lendo esse livro para a primeira vez de novo. Nesse livro, Harry Potter tem um grande jornada de descobrir quem ele é, com um questão de pertencer à Grifinória. Eu achei essa jornada muito mas impactante do que eu lembrava. Enfim, é uma história muito bom e que eu amei ler.

Faixa etária recomendada: 11+
Esse livro tem um peso maior do que o primeiro, porque tem um maior chance de morrer. Também envolve questões de racismo contra as trouxas (pessoas não mágicas). Mas mesmo assim, não houve problemas que impede crianças de ler.

lockhart is the most infuriating character ever

Když to srovnám s prvním dílem, tak vidím velké zlepšení. Příběh sice znám, nicméně už to není taková kultovka jako jednička, takže jsem mnohdy překvapen některými situacemi (třeba hulákem, který je prostě skvělý). Dobby je roztomilý, Zlatoslav mi jde na nervy, Ginny vlastně taková nijaká, nevýrazná zatím. Osobně mám problém asi jedině s tím, že chování hlavní trojice mi někdy přijde celkem umělé (některé repliky na mě působí jako kdyby to říkali čtyřicátnící na rozdíl od dvanáctiletých děcek).

i love this book series, but in the reread, i realized that this one is a bit slower than others in some ways. overall it's really good in storytelling and progression, just not my favorite.

No es de los libros/pelis de la saga que más me gustan pero es interesante y cumple su función

Honestly, I don't think I've ever gone back and read the last few chapters from when I read these as a kid.

It is great, like I explained in my previous review I just jumped on the Harry Potter train in my 20s because I never read them as a kid.

This is the second installment in the series, and I am enjoying it so far. It is clearly still aimed at kids (since it is a children's book) but I must say I enjoyed It a lot. I even think this one is better than the first one.
At the halfway point of the story I was fully engaged and the final part was an absolute blast. I powered through the last chapters full of suspense and joy at the end.

Great book would recommend it.

Excellent book. Exactly like the movie! (I've seen the first couple of movies, and this is my first go at the books.)

A joyful reading for the second book.
