I really enjoyed this book! It was fast-paced, addictive, and I couldn’t put it down. This is my second book by Noelle W. Ihil and she’s becoming a favorite. I also read the 6 page novella After the Dark, ( gotten from her instagram linktree link) it wasn’t necessary to understand the story, but it was an interesting little bonus read. Can’t wait to pick up more of her books!
RUN RUN RUN to read this book!! This might be an all time favorite of mine and knowing it's loosely based on a real story makes it that much more crazy.
This book jumps right into the thick of the story on the very first page and I was absolutely glued until the very last page. The way it started, the characters, the shifting perspectives, the very real fear felt while these horrid events unfolded, the length of the book giving it the suspense and build and character development it needed while remaining short enough to never have dull chapters. Everything was done so incredibly well!
I've mentioned being glued to books in a lot of other reviews but this was a whole different level of desperation to get through the chapters as the story unfolded.
I cannot recommend this read enough and will be looking into other books by this author as soon as this review is posted!
My God...
This was by far the best Noelle W. Ihli book I have read. Loosely based on a true event, this survival tale is a whirlwind of emotions. It's thrilling, suspenseful, heartbreaking, and hopeful. 5 stars, Noelle. 5 stars.... I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
The beauty in friendship, in having someone there for you, in finding yourself, in surviving and doing everything you can to hold on to hope and not lose yourself in the process. It was just an incredible journey.
