Gaby, Lost and Found

Read for my Massachusetts Children's Book Award Book Club - I really enjoyed this book. It deals with Gaby, an eleven year old, who is going through a rough time in her life. Her class is doing a community service at an animal shelter. Gaby has a great empathy for the pets looking for a forever home. She feels like a stray herself since her mother was deported to Honduras.
