"Owning a strip club isn't the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police checking up on him regularly, twenty-seven year old Cain is starting to second guess his silent mission to save these women. That is, until a tiny angel named Charlie walks through his door. Blonde and blue-eyed, sweet as can be, this dancer's sad smile opens up old wounds. She reminds him so much of Penny. As much as Cain tries to avoid being that creepy strip club boss who dates his staff, he can't help but be attracted to Charlie. As he grows closer to her, waiting for her to turn her life around, he discovers that she's headed down a dangerous path, the same one that claimed the other important women in his life"--

4.5 I know I have not given positive judgement on the first two books but this was just different. (I appreciate Stayner being totally out of this one.) All in all this is very refreshing and Cain was just amazeballs. ( I was waiting for the time I can use that invented word and Cain was just it.) He really is the knight and shining armor that Charlie needed. I mean, he was just hot as hell that just reading about it made me feel the butterflies she was feeling. Great job on this Ms Tucker.
This also reminds of a bit of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. If you know what I mean. That one is also highly recommended. This books made me drift so some scenes that were too strong I hoped it has a good ending.
This one did but I gave it a 4.5 rating because the even though the ending was great, it lacked some details I wouldn't have mind reading, a little bit of the action behind wouldn't have hurt. And when he was finding out what her deal was, her age, hahahahahah, I thought he would loose his marbles on that! Good thing he really hit it hard on her.
All in all, this can be a stand alone book. My favourite so far because Cain, my gad, I love him.
PS. Way to end the year with a nice book and start it at the same time. ;)
