Really liked this one – the crazier aspects of the series were restrained, yet the comedy was still there (see in particular, Tank). Minor spoiler: no cars were blown up. Should probably rate this a 5-star just for that. Pretty good story, lunacy controlled, lots of fun. Nothing more to ask for.
I love reading the adventures of Stephanie Plum! In this book, Stephanie appears to have matured some. She takes responsibility for her actions (well, most of them). Some favorite goofy characters from previous books also reappear. I started reading this late one night, and almost couldn't put it down after reading page one. I read it in only a couple days. I was sad it ended so soon. Now I need to get 15.
You can't help laughing at Stephanie and her family and friends in this series. Grandma Mazur...Ranger...Morelli...Lulu...Tank...even Stephanie herself consistently find themselves in ridiculous situations. The humor is both silly and profane, so be warned.
