Lowkey wanted more Quinn action.
Coming from the previous book, we're back on the romance train.
This was an interesting one. I do think it is best to read the novella dealing with Hadley first and then this one, just to have some background, but it isn't needed.
I've never been a huge Quinn fan and I don't know why...
Go find the short story that is the backstory for this book and read that first. Otherwise, you'll be wondering the whole time what you missed.
Another great Sookie read! Why can't her TV personality be as good as the book's? More insights into the political intrigue of the vampires, a conclusion to Sookie's one big sin, a vampire's real intentions are revealed, a new man in Sookie's life, new friends and a surprising discovery about Sookie's ancestry! This installment of the Southern Vampire series is chock full of juicy tidbits and action!
This one was just OK. It's hard to describe. Maybe I'm getting burnt out on Sookie. But when I think about reading something else, I find I'd really prefer to keep reading about her. This one had some interesting developments in the narrative arc, but overall, the story just hung together and never really grabbed me.
