Confused about the cover being Lyla. The previous ones have been the love interest, so it bugs me but whatever. I digress.

The concept itself was interesting, but Lyla and Vance lacked chemistry. The Tiff back story felt random and pointless. Almost like it was started then forgotten about.

I enjoyed the story, I enjoyed reading about Lyla, but just didn't hit me like the previous ones did.

Vance kept so many secrets, and I get it, but like... poor Lyla !! She was open with him but he didn't give much in return. They had sex, and they hiked.

my favorite series <3 i love these characters so much

I had low expectations as I DNF'd the last two books in the series but glad I took a chance. The book was a bit bland but I guess I was in need of an easy, spicy read.
