OMG! Best audiobook of the year!! I loved it so much that I was sad when it finished. The story is so heartwarming, and the characters are so loved. I wouldn't mind a second book of their story

The narrators did an awesome job: the protagonists felt believable and adorable. I loved to follow their discussions, their thoughts, hearing them encourage each other and learning about them. I was giggling and smiling so much while listening to this audiobook. I need a Kal in my life.

The characters act like teenagers even though they are adults. Specially the main character seems pretty immature on her relationship with her parents (and even life). It seems like she is always expecting someone will fix things for her, at the same time she gets angry when her parents do it for her.

I loved listening to this one . Such a fun audiobook! It was quirky, hilarious, and entertaining. This audiobook provided a unique and immersive acting extravaganza that left me truly amazed. I found myself swept up in a captivating blend of audiobook narration and the ambient sounds around me. The distinction between the story and my surroundings became pleasantly blurred, and soon enough, I was engrossed in the world of this endearing, humorous, and enchanting tale.

Vera, our protagonist, is a delightful embodiment of quirkiness. Initially, I wondered if her penchant for dramatic flair might become overwhelming, but to my relief, her quirks evolved into a charming and amusing aspect of her character. What struck me most about Vera is her self-awareness; she embraces her idiosyncrasies while acknowledging that not everyone may understand or embrace them. Even more heartwarming was the realization that Cal, the male lead, saw her uniqueness as an endearing quality that made her truly perfect.

My perception of Cal underwent a transformative shift, and I must admit my own narrow-mindedness. My initial impression portrayed him as an intelligent yet socially awkward man, particularly around women. However, as the layers of his character were unveiled (I won't divulge more to avoid spoilers), he emerged as a far more complex and appealing figure. It was an eye-opening experience for me to recognize how easily I could be swayed by preconceived notions, particularly in the face of his success.

In summary, this audiobook provided a captivating narrative that seamlessly blended with my surroundings, inviting me into a world of endearing characters and unexpected revelations. Vera's quirky charm and Cal's multi-faceted persona are a testament to the author's skillful storytelling. I am truly grateful for this eye-opening and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The narrative itself is an absolute gem! Although Cara Bastone is a new discovery for me, I am eagerly anticipating delving into her other literary works.

Vera has been waiting almost 3 hours for someone to answer from IT company due to some glitches on her website. Enter Cal Kantola who is basically her saviour to help her fix these glitches. She refuses to hang up the call as she waited too long as she needs to sort her website out before her big event at the end of the week. Her brother has been wanting to set her up with his best friend Freddy and Vera does not want to do so, however when Cal true identity is revealed, she wants to him. But she doesn't know how to say that she likes him as Vera thinks Cal (Freddie) is living with a girl, who turns out not to be his girlfriend. As the story goes on they each learn more and more about one another. I really enjoyed the conversation that was happening between the two. It was cute and sweet.

I didn't think I'd ever give 5 stars to a romance novel, but here we are. In between the books I'm reading for work and doula school, I needed something a little light to read.

This book is...so delightful. It's between a support agent and an angry customer troubleshooting her website. As someone who has worked in support, I actually felt SEEN in this book, versus having the support agent be one dimensional and dimly defined. The characters were endearing, the premise of one long phone call for the whole book was delightful. I finished it in less than 24 hours because of how cute and rom-commy it was. Excellent.

??This was my first audible original & you couldn't pay me to stop now. From the incoming of traffic to the whining kitty (HE WAS THE CUTEST), the sound effects on the production were SO GOOD. And the narrators killed it btw!! This is absolutely the ???best??? audiobook I've ever listened to,,,,??

Coming to the actual story, I loved it so much that idk what to say about it (...proceeds to write entire paragraphs). The characters were EVERYTHING. Vera was so fun to read about. She was funny, fierce, kind and quirky in the best way. And Cal is my book bf, I call dibs. He was the softest cinnamon roll hero ever????? I LOVE THEM SM.??
In fact, I loved the entire thing with all my heart. These two had so much emotional chemistry, considering they don't even meet till the last chapter. And all the personal conflicts they were dealing with actually got to me??? Like, I cried. Multiple times. But overall this book made me so happy I wanna S C R E A M.??

PS- HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT TWIST COMING??? I WAS FLOORED & I FEEL STUPID ABOUT IT ??????

This was a recommendation by a friend because I needed something cutesy to listen to while doing chores.

This is an easy listen and was definitely fun to listen to. I will probably snag the 2nd one as this makes doing chores easier to get through lol
