God, I hated this book. Beck was so toxic, I've wasted so much time trying to read it, forcing myself to finish it but I couldn't. I hated both characters but especially Beck.
Dnf @ 4%—after chapter 3
This is the most cringe conversation. Not a lot is making sense and no world building. Yeah, I'm only 4% in but I'm also 3 chapters into the book. There should be SOMETHING. Stopping here because I'm 98% sure these characters and the writing are gonna annoy the hell out of me.
It has some good spiciness, not much though. I got bored towards the end. The writing was similar to a Wattpad story at times.
I loved it! Between 60-85% it was kinda boring, but the plot-twist at the end made the rating skyrocket from 4★'s to 5★'s. No regrets. Amazing!
[Contains spoiler I guess?]
So i read 33 pages and I already cringing af!!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE WANTS HER EX'S OLDER BROTHER'S FINGERS INSIDE HER ON THEIR FIRST MEETING AFTER HER BREAK UP!!!!!!! AND HIM WANTED TO BAND HER OVER HIS OFFICE AND F@CKS HER JUST BECAUSE SHE SAID HIS BROTHER AKA HER EX'S NAME!?????
Nah is seems like a cheap Wattpad fics and it isn't for me .
⭐/5 ( I could give it a half star if I can)
Worst attempt at ex-boyfriend's-older-brother/fake-dating trope
I dont even know where to begin lol
Sooo the spice was a 5 for me but the plot was a 3/3.5. The beginning of the plot just sounded unreal because you weren't given a lot of detail at first. You find out more along the way, obviously, but while it was good, it was average for a romance book I suppose. Beck has a mouth though which is what made the spice a 5 for me. Overall it was a good read.
I was super unsure how I was gonna like a billionaire romance but I literally LOVED this book. Everything about it was set in place just right! And the SMUT... 🥵🥵🥵 fire. Can't wait to read more from Kat!! 😍
Spicy, ex-boyfriends brother, fake dating/engagement
So I'll start with Beck is a HOT AF MAN. That being said, is he a little scheming schemer? Yes. Did he go about getting back into Margo's life in a bad way? Probably. But ya know... men are dumb. Anyway.
Margo works as a graphic designer at a small start up when Beck comes back into her life, offers her a “promotion” has his assistant. But with that he offers her the position of becoming his fake fiancé to impress the board members of his company.
Slowly what started as fake becomes very real, and very raw. The two have chemistry and tension off the charts so it's only a matter of time before the two jump each others bones.
Eventually, they share their real feelings with each other and live in bliss.
Cue the third act problem of miscommunication ....
Honestly enjoyable, a low key but still with banter romance.
