Now, I don't know if I just needed to get used to it or if it was Scott Snyder's writing, but Dick's Batman has grown on me. But Scott Snyder definitely writes brilliantly. In my opinion this is a must read for fans of Batman. The Skeleton Key story was by far my favorite. Creepy, personal and something that has always been lurking in the shadows, Snyder brought it all to light and it was amazeballs.
I really just can't say enough how much I love Snyder's work. I can't. He wrote a confident, but not arrogant Dick who is both flawed and perfect as Bruce Wayne's Batman ever was.
Read it. You won't be sorry.
Here goes Scott Snyder proving again why he is so good with Batman. With all thats happened around Bruce's disappearance and Dick taking on the mantle you would think that it was time for Bruce to return to the role. But sticking with Dick allows him to build a bit more of humor and take away all the angst that is associated with Bruce. Thus what comes across is a more chilled out Bat. This does not mean that Black Mirror is any way light. Scott using Gordan brings a new angle and an equally dark storyline. And he wraps it all up nicely in the end. Highly recommended!
Brilliant Batman story, where the main story is more about Commissioner Gorden and Bats is not Bruce Wayne. A dark and disturbing tale.
