Another great book, not quite as good as Killing Floor for me but still brilliant! Reacher is quickly becoming a new favourite
As always an adventure with Jack Reacher is tons of fun! In this one we get alot of Neagley time as well which truly cranks up the fun dial. Couldn't put it down once I started it..... ended up buying the audiobook so I could continue it on my drive to work.
Slightly better than the previous couple of Reacher books. Less action, more puzzle solving/mystery than usual. There was still the required amount of violence - this is Reach after all - but most of it did happen until the last 40 or so pages. Nice to meet the group of people who probably had the most influence on Reacher's life, outside of his brother and General Garber.
Though I question how this group of former military/current security experts (especially Nagely)doesn't know anyone in the hacker world who could have found a way around the encryption of the flashdrives. Instead the bunch spend hours acting like a bunch of novice, ragtag wannabe heroes.
Here's what you know going in:
Will Reacher win? Yup.
How many of the bad guys will get what's coming to them? All of them.
What don't you know? What kind of bad guys are there? What bad stuff are they up to? Who will Reacher's allies be?
Nice look at a couple of years in Reacher's backstory along with a typically gripping, pedal-to-the-metal thriller.
OK. This has got to be my favorite. SO GOOD. Generally you know Reacher is going to help out the underdog or the person who can't defend themselves and it's generally a stranger with the exception of The Killing Floor. This time we get a bit of his history with special investigators and the vengeance is personal. Reacher is at his bad-ass maximum & it's fantastic!
Noia, noia e noia.
