I didn't realize this was such a short book and that it was mostly stories and not a novel. It was darkly humorous, but I did find myself kind of hoping she'd get caught. She wasn't quite as likeable as others I've read, but I can't say I felt that sorry for some of her victims.
It was a fun short audiobook about an old lady who has a far more interesting life than most young people in surprising ways. Points for using the word popinjay.

I love cute old people and Maude is no exception. A fun and quick collection of stories where a shameless, unemotional old woman just tries to live her life in peace- by any means necessary. So cute.
Really loved this delightful slip of a short story collection. An older woman in an Swedish apartment complex kills some people, but it's funny. Tore through it in an afternoon without breaking a sweat, would recommend to anyone.

the ending of the last short story didn't feel satisfying. i enjoyed the anthology for the most part, it was a very easy and light read. super interesting premise!

This is one little “old lady” you do not want to get on your bad side.
Quirky little collection of short stories about an old lady who kills anyone who crosses her and then uses her sweet old lady persona to get away with it. Nothing groundbreaking but the stories were pretty fun.
This small volume is a real treat. 4 of the 5 stories are told from the point of view of Maud, an elderly lady who is definitely up to no good, but is someone you'd want on your side of you were in trouble. Helene Tursten deftly weaves in humor and I was sad when the book came to an end. I can only hope that Maud has future adventures in store for us.
Ah, murder mysteries are not my jam, but this one was adorable. Seriously, did anyone else read this teeny, tiny hardback (so cute!)? I did appreciate that the stories were from the point of view of the murderess. It's not bad, it's just not my cup of tea. It most definitely lends itself to being a single-sitting read.
