Great story. So unlike others I've read by Lisa Scottoline, yet just as well written. I loved how the story was written both in the present and the past and came together at the end. The missing star is due to the events that take place in prison. I feel that could have been left out and the story would have been more believable.
This is why I read!
I was skeptical about the structure of this book in the first few chapters, but grew to enjoy the puzzle of before and after stories. The characters were well developed. The author's knowledge of apraxia was impressive, but most of all, I loved the detailed courtroom dialogue.
This is an outstanding legal thriller!
