I’m a Brooklyn-based freelance editor with a decade of experience doing developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading on books that span a wide variety of genres and age groups. I currently work as a copy editor for ABRAMS, Sourcebooks, Simon & Schuster, Astra, and Scholastic, specializing in books for kids and teens, and worked for several years for DAW Books, which specialized in science fiction and fantasy for adults. I’m the author of eight novels for kids and teens, including Look Both Ways, which was the winner of the 2017 Bisexual Book Award, and The Pros of Cons (with coauthors Lindsay Ribar and Michelle Schusterman), which received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and was included on the American Library Association’s Rainbow List. I also produced, edited, and mixed all five seasons of We’re Not Over Six Feet Under, a discussion and recap podcast about the HBO show Six Feet Under. I have a degree in photography, and before I began my publishing career, I worked as a lighting designer for theater, dance, and opera productions. When I’m not editing, I love singing, taking ceramics classes, and learning about science. There is nothing that makes me happier than meeting an exotic animal at a wildlife sanctuary.
