See allSuffers from the usual problems that Anita Blake is now famous for. The actual plot is squeezed into the beginning and the conclusion to it squeezed into the end. As a result, part of the ending isn't really explored. But of course Hamilton finds the time to explore more poly negotiations.
The book also suffers from the characters telling, not showing which is pretty much Hamilton's signature style now.
Absolutely loved this, it was one of the best reads I've had in months. Bree's story is such an intriguing one, it's worth a re-read already! Great debut book
