super fun read, i liked the world and the romance was cute but i wish the characters had a bit more depth. despite the personal trials they face, the main characters still felt very surface level to me.
It was a good read but im not racing to pick up book 2

If you're a fantasy reader looking for a way to get into dark romance this is the book! While Scarred is NOT a fantasy it holds enough similarities that fantasy readers like myself love. Breaking the norm with having both the MC and FMC as morally grey anti-heros/villains with their own agendas was amazing. An absolutely delicious read.
I adore this book so much. It's adorable and hilarious with a sprinkle of spice and it's perfect
the mental health rep in this book is just phenomenal. everything about it was just as amazing as the first book
ARC review
Fun and quick holiday romance.
This was a combo of all of my favorite things. Rebel is grouchy and jealous. Vic is sunshine personified.... krakenified? They are rivals in their winter sports and they get snowed in together. throw in some mild hurt/comfort and sooo much sexual tension and this was perfection.
Very cute read. Loved seeing the generational gender roles challenged and the supportive friendship
I'm not the biggest fan of first person pov, especially in fantasy, but this was amazing.
this book WRECKED me.
The spice is top notch, the writing is amazing, but it's the fact that I have never felt more seen or represented as a plus size girl that really put this over the top for me. Every worry and emotion that Ariana has about herself and her relationship is something I have had myself.
For a paranormal romance it hits real close to home.
Gabe never lets me down. 10/10 i adored this. it also led me down the rabbit hole of consuming every queer historical romance i could get my hands on.
It breaks my heart to give this book such a low rating. It just didn't live up to the rest of the series. Overall a very anticlimactic ending to the series and it did have the emotion that the rest did. I was also disappointed to see a HP reference thrown in
Wow. The world building was amazing and easy to follow and i fell in love With every single Character. I only guessed one of the twists which was even more amazing lol
I absolutely loved this!
“Hello, my name is Savannah Rose and it seems that I'm permanently fated to pray at the altar of Owen Harvey.”
THIS BOOK YALL! There's forbidden love, family drama, banter, tension, the smut is
If you love Shakespeare you'll probably like this.
I couldn't deal with the pretentious kids and predictablness of it anymore
Healing feels like betrayal. Like releasing a fragile, precious thing kept from crumbling only by the pressure of his hands.

Well do i have the book for you!Lord of the Empty Isles is easily one of my top 10 books this year. It is heart wrenching and beautiful and so full of love.
I adored all the different forms of platonic and familial love that we got to see grow between the cast. Every character felt so full and well rounded and I loved the growth that Remy had, though i am hoping that we get a sequel because I think there is so much potential for more growth with the rest of the characters!
It was easy to be drawn in and absolutely absorbed into the story and so easy to care about and fall in love with the characters. the world building wasn't clunky, the action was fast and fan, and the emotional moments we so strong. I cried multiple time. I am excited to see what Arbeaux does next.
I was honored to be gifted a ALC from the publisher and netgally. Audiobooks are my main source of reading and this one was great! As a southerner, I did struggle a bit with the southern accent for Idrian but quickly adjusted to it and it didn't hinder my reading experience!
I'm somewhere between like and love for this book. The pacing was a bit slow in some parts and fast in others but overall a good read and had me holding back tears when the emotion snuck up on me
