I almost put this book down and didn't finish it, but I'm glad I didn't. This book provided an interesting and horrifying glimpse into the treatment of women in France in the 1880's. While the storyline itself could have been better, the historical details were great.
I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley.
Much better than the last book in the series by getting back to the original premise of helping the lost. I didn't see the twist coming at the end. very good read!
I received an arc from Netgalley.
This was an an entertaining and easy to read locked room cozy mystery. I've read all the previous books in the series and enjoyed this one as well.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
the storyline was good, but there was way too much technical info included. made for some dry reading in spots and lots of skipped pages.
this book moved along much better than the 1st one. much more action and a lot less non essential detail.
I started it, but never finished it. It just never held my attention and I was forcing myself to read as far as I did.
The changing point of view was sometimes confusing, but over all a good read. Enjoyed the mythology bits.
I received a copy from Netgalley for review.
the story took forever to get moving and then it ended just when it seemed to get moving. Guess I'll have to read the 2nd book to see if it gets better.
has a few good recipes, but not worth it for me to buy. I enjoyed browsing thru it though.
