I didn't like this one nearly as well as Childhood's end, too many cultural judgements (“They couldn't possibly!”), too many people speaking “plaintively”, and characters were GRABBY. “she knew she HAD to have it!”
Fun stuff, complex story, different pantheons. Ending was a bit abrupt, but still worthwhile.
Sucked me in nicely, even given how restless I've been lately. Larger plot-arc is progressing nicely, but I hope to focus on Kitty's life a bit more in the next book!
Hmm. Drags in places, but a good story overall, with interesting twists and turns in perspective.
