I ATE UP the first half and then stopped in the middle cause I couldn't care less abt some characters (I'm so sorry Kosika), then the second half picked up gradually and the ending left me mad as hell. Love that the current situations and problems are resolved and at the same time are opening up new possibilities, leaving more to be resolved in the next book(s).
Also, I can't finish a review without mentioning Lila at least once. She ate every character up and left them gagged. I want her soooo baaaddddd

OK I GET IT. I GET WHY EVERYONE'S LOSING THEIR MINDS.
To be fair, it started of very weak for me, but as I kept on reading I was getting gradually more invested until I lost all of my hair at the POV switch; then I knew Stephanie COOKED. She let the lil plot twist simmer and I wasn't even mad for that. Wasn't even mad at Jacks doing almost a whole 180. He is HIM. I might give blond men a chance now.
It's the half assed horse drawing all over again.
I tried very hard to like this book enough to say that the characters are well developed, but there was barely any development whatsoever. It started off pretty well, gave the vibes of The Secret History with all of the character analysis - it was enjoyable, even if there was a slow progress with the plot. Yet, all that came out with all of that psychoanalysis was literal character assassination. There was no feel that they had any growth; it's one thing to write it and read it, the other thing to feel it. All that explaining was for nothing - they turned out like cardboard anyway.
I get that it's tough fleshing all six plus characters, but if you're already developing them equally, don't reduce them to names on paper.
