7/10
Fun, but a bit simple.
This feels almost like a Harry Potter reskin to me. Hopefully the depth and seriousness increase throughout the series in the same way as HP.

This was a heartbreaking pageturner that is able to perfectly describe the blatant racism in the southern US at the time while still telling a gripping tale. A must-read for anyone and everyone.
7.5/10
Likeable characters and further development of the worldbuilding. The story in this one is a bit staler than in the first one in my opinion.
Looking forward to the final book and the conclusion of the series.

Sanderson did it again!
The whole book was an absolute blast. Discovering new stuff on this planet, then suddenly mixing with multiple other Cosmere works was perfect.
I felt the urgency for stopping disaster through the entire part three. The ending for Wayne is absolutely perfect. Hoid just passing by is perfect.
The missing 0.5 points are for the anticlimactic scene when Marasi drains the pool. This scene had the potential to be epic, but it missed the mark by a mile, in my opinion.
I'm definitely coming back to Mistborn era 2 at some point!

Exactly what I needed to understand what my dog was thinking while resource guarding and how to work on these problems.
The language was a bit too formal at times.
7/10
Pretty good for a short story. Quick introduction to the world and leaves doors open for later expansion. I would have liked a bit more clarification before the end though.
9/10
It is absolutely astonishing for a writer debut. Deep world, interesting magic system, compelling characters, and plot twists every other chapter.
I am only deducting a single point here for the less eloquent prose, but I am diving directly into the second book!
7/10
Unlike the previous three books, I think I would have liked reading this better than listening to it. The story in itself was good, I just had major problems really getting into the characters.
Rather confusing but very tense on the first read through. One year after I finished the series I now re-read this book and it is absolutely amazing.
3.5/10
I read this from Arcanum Unbounded without and intention to play the board game (yet). This made it feel uninspired and repetitive.
From reading the postscript I can agree that this might be a perfect introduction to the setting, magic system and to Kelsier
9.5/10
Super cool and detailed magic system. Short and to the point. I loved that the main protagonist is struggling with having no powers, and his only way to get what he want is to trust other people he wouldn't have trusted if he didn't need to.
Prose was a bit clunky, but I was captivated from start to end. Fun little novella.
9/10
The idea behind the main character is just as good and well executed as the first book. I love that the aspects are expanded on, but also that we explore how he would work without them.
9.5/10
Absolutely fantastic storytelling. The expert play with viewpoints is awesome. The worldbuilding is awesome. The character development is awesome. I can't remember a fantasy series that was this captivating from page number 1 and all the way to the end.
The end is perfect and the cliffhanger makes me want to move to the next book instantly (which I will)
3/10 - DNF around 60%
Yeah, I tried. I was just waiting for something to happen for way too long. While waiting, there were no other redeeming qualities that kept me interested. So, after not touching this book for a month, it's time to just realize that this isn't for me.
9.5/10
Somehow Sanderson always succeeds in creating a likeable character with personal problems in the first book, only for them to become a God and spectacularly save the world in the third book. It works every single time. Additionally, the continuous world-building and expansion of the Cosmere is awesome. I can't wait for all these books to come together, and I am more hyped than ever for the final entry in Mistborn era 2.
What a way to tell (the start of) a story. Cannot wait to finish the second book and wait forever for the third.
9/10
It's one of the most interesting books I have ever read. Only taking away a single point because there were some weird repetitions and several times the author just needs to chill a bit.
For extra anxiety points, listen to the Oppenheimer score while reading.
8/10
Fun, short book. Had a smile planted on my face most of the way through from the obscene comparisons to the USSR. Would recommend.

Wax 9/10
Wayne 10/10
Marasi viewpoints 4/10
Thoroughly enjoyable most of the time. More character development than the first book which was great to see. The storyline feels deeper and more connected to the awesome world that was created in the first Mistborn era. However, I found myself putting the book down and doing something else way too many times when I flipped the page and realized that I had to read another “Marasi at the police station” chapter.
8/10
Struggled a bit in the middle part, but it really picked up the pace and expanded the stakes.
Very cool premise. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

6/10
It was OK, I don't find the adventures that interesting though. Eustace is a great character and his growth saves the book for me.
8.5/10
En klassiker. Veldig bra skrevet og deilig med en seriøs og dyster historie strødd med humor. Slutten mangler noe spør du meg så mister ei stjerne der.
