See allI tried listening to the audiobook; however, the core of the concepts in the first few chapters were so engrained in the Christian religion that I had significant trouble connecting to the concepts. The example stories were good. When the author started explaining the concepts of why boundaries were important, the bible was used as a source of truth in nearly every paragraph. I was expecting scientific evidence with psychological research, but what I heard was consistent teachings of dated and misogynistic religious text. I set a boundary for myself that if I heard the bible quoted 5 times in 10 minutes, I would have to leave this book. And so it was, and so I did.
As my first dive into a romance novel, I have to say I can't believe I've skipped this genre for most of my life. I've never felt so seen by how Helen portrayed Stella's character. I cried; I laughed; I was on edge multiple times. Expertly written and incredibly fun. I'm obsessed with this series now and can't wait to read book 2.
Inspiring and to the point
No extraneous wording here. The authors take you on their own journey of exploration into time management and productivity. Then quickly offer dozens and dozens of tips that are not only repeatable but easily consumable, and easily testable in your own life. I highly recommend this book for readers who are looking for quick tips to make big changes to their productivity.
I absolutely love this book (audiobook)! I love John Green's work and assumed that his brother Hank would be just as good, and I wasn't wrong! What a great adventure! Can't wait to see what Hank comes up with next. :)
Great short read. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook because NPH read it and voices the characters. It's so great!
