i had my doubts about giving another murakami book a chance (the first book of his i ever read was kafka. so.), but i was pleasantly surprised by this book. if we ignore the few instances he spent being weird about women, murakami's writing style was quite nice. i can't lie, though, i wasn't really invested in any of the characters besides the thin man little nightmares— i mean the man with no face. his chapters were easily the most interesting to me
